Log out and back in once, then the Pro version should be activated:
The profile should now also say (pro) after your username. If it still doesn't work, please contact us.
A new installation helps here:
Tips:
The purchase process including payment processing is completely in Google's hands, since you buy the app from Google. Unfortunately, we have neither insight nor influence on it and there are often problems with it.
If you want to pay with PayPal and the password isn't accepted, it's usually because it's the wrong password: it's the Google password, not PayPal's.
Alternatively, you can also buy the app directly from us: https://suche.womo-stellplatz.eu/checkout You can pay with PayPal, credit card and Sofortüberweisung.
However, you need a profile first. If you don't have one yet, you can create one here: https://suche.womo-stellplatz.eu/register or if you already have one, log in here: https://suche.womo-stellplatz.eu/login
Unfortunately we cannot offer bank transfer, as we live in Norway and do not have an EU bank account. The tax processing of a purchase (pay VAT in the respective country, record it here in Norway) would far exceed the income.
Maybe "Sofortüberweisung" is an alternative. We offer this on our website https://suche.womo-stellplatz.eu.
Feel free to get in touch if that's not an option either.
As promised, if you are really not satisfied, we will refund your money at any time. We always appreciate a few words why so we can improve the app.
Here you find important tips & tricks for using the camping app. We also explain some of its special features.
In our experience, this is usually due to a filter. Do you have one or more filters activated?
We recommend performing a search without a filter first, so you can see what's actually available at your destination. If you get too many results, you can use the filter to limit the selection.
If there are still places missing, please contact us with information about which region it concerns and we will be happy to look at it again.
This is not an error, these are sites from our partners such as Alpaca Camping, MyCabin, VanSite and others, and concern private campings.
The vast majority of private site operators do this as a side business, e.g. on a farm or on their private property, and therefore do not want their contact details to be freely available on the Internet and people to show up unannounced. Therefore, we cannot provide precise location data. Since we do not operate a booking portal either, the booking process is run by MyCabin, Alpaca Camping or VanSite as booking portals. It depends on which of these platforms the private site owners register on. We also have nothing to do with the pricing and do not receive any commission or other remuneration for listing the places.
If you don't want to see these places, you can easily hide them:
Once created, routes cannot be changed.
We obtain these from a service provider and only add the sites at our end. The camping app is not a navigation app, so the route search is only a tool to assist you with finding places along a route.
In our own experience, it is best to create shorter sub-sections for a route. This can be easily replaced with another one, should this be necessary. For example, we usually do not create routes that are longer than a day's journey.
Due to the great demand for "private pitches" or small campsites, e.g. on farms and vineyards, we decided to collaborate with selected platforms. These partners, such as Alpaca Camping, MyCabin and VanSite, offer private individuals the opportunity to advertise their pitches. The platform handles the entire payment process and contact with the guests.
Many people like these places because they are often in an idyllic location and you sometimes come into contact with the operator. Other people have no interest in these places and are also annoyed that the coordinates are not given exactly before you have booked or find the prices to be too "ambitious". We understand that well, which is why you turn off these places completely:
When searching along a route, you can choose between three vehicle profiles:
This covers most cases. A more precise setting is not possible because the camping app is not a navigation app. The route search is a tool to find places near the route you are traveling on.
If you have very specific needs, e.g. in terms of height, width and weight of your vehicle, it is safer to use a truck/campervan navigation system to calculate the route and then create it as a route in our app. You can do that with waypoints/stopovers.
You can easily request a new password:
Notes:
If you can't log in, it's almost always because of one of the following issues:
The two apps use the same site data and are also very similar in operation. Of course, the nordcamp app only has sites in the Nordic countries, and this data comes from the camping app.
Otherwise, the nordcamp app is an independent app and has a lot of additional content that you would usually find in a travel guide (currently over 2,000 different POIs, route suggestions and curated place lists).
This is content from us, our partners, and insiders. It's a mix of must-sees (things you'd find in many guidebooks) but also tips from people who live in the places that you wouldn't find easily otherwise.
We have to buy this content ourselves and it is a lot of work to collect and prepare it.
That's why the nordcamp app is an independent app that we sell separately.
Unfortunately, this is presented in a really misleading way in the app store and always looks as if apps are tracking. We are very data protection conscious ourselves. That's why we haven't used any software from large US companies in the app and have servers in Germany.
What we use:
Sentry.io - this is a service that shows us when the app crashes, for example, and the point in the source code where it was. It is a so-called bug tracker that does not record any personal data but errors in the app.
Matomo / piwik: The only clean statistical solution in terms of data protection. Shows us how much and how the app is used. No personal data is recorded, let alone forwarded. We run the server ourselves and nobody else has access to this data.
Otherwise we don't use anything in the app that would track.
This is only a difference in the payment of the app.
For example, if you are only on the road for one season, you can choose the subscription and cancel it again immediately. Then you pay the lower price and have the Pro version for just one year. Or if you want to continuously support the development of this app, then you pay the subscription price every year.
Otherwise you choose the one-time purchase price and have the app "forever".
Neither the scope of the data nor the functions of the app differ in the two variants.
We always recommend keeping the app up to date.
We are constantly developing the app, e.g. when we get great suggestions from our users on what we could do better. In addition, there are always small errors, so-called "bugs", which we want to fix quickly so that the app works smoothly for you.
An important update means that we have fixed a major bug that limits the use of the app and e.g. causes it to crash. You should update this as soon as possible.
If you are concerned about your data plan: Not all data is reloaded during an update and as little data as possible is used.
